It is important to gain information from parents about when problem behaviors tend to occur. The next step in my practice approach is designing and implementing treatment that is specific to the child. I love to provide a safe space for all my clients where personal reinforcers are freely available to gain trust and build rapport. This then leads the child to have engagement with the team where then we can begin treatment based on the goals outlined in our treatment plans as well as parents’ input from the assessment. Compassionate and trauma informed care is also an important part of my treatment model insuring all my clients feel safe during sessions.
Families can expect a very hands-on approach from the Behavior Analyst as well as collaborating and involving everyone in the child’s life. Parent involvement and collaboration with other services outside of ABA is key to the success of your child!
