Melissa Foster

Hi there, I'm Melissa Foster, a BCBA with a dedication to improving the lives of both my patients and their families. Since 2015, I have been working with kiddos from ages 2-18 of all different levels. The most rewarding feeling of working in ABA is seeing positive growth and changes in my patient's lives. With a background of working with kiddos in homes, schools, clinics, and group homes, I have a wide range of experience and know how to overcome barriers to treatment as well as an understanding of what quality therapy looks like. I look forward to connecting with new families and providing quality care to new patients.

Our approach to therapy includes a holistic, individualized, child-led approach. We focus on growth and what the child is doing right as an aid to other evidence-based behavioral-analytic strategies to minimize challenging behaviors. With an emphasis on social-emotional learning, this provides a deeper, foundational understanding within the patient as to why they engage in challenging behaviors which also fosters an increased awareness of potential future triggering situations. Our therapy combines DTT-style skill building programs with social-emotional and play-based learning. We believe that a balance of work and play is essential to our patients' progress and that positive connections and interactions are the strongest catalysts to inspire growth in the lives of both our patients and their families.

Families can expect expert-level ABA services that are individualized to the needs of both the patient and their family members. We believe that a collaborative approach is most fundamental to the patient's progress, including a parent-training model with realistic and achievable goals for parents. The training provided to each therapist is specific to their client's needs, with a structured supervision model that ensures each program is being implemented in whichever way is vital to the patient's success. A holistic approach to therapy is provided to ensure all barriers to treatment are identified so that we can provide the most effective therapy.
