Bio

I have been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 20 years providing services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. I hold a Master of Science Degree in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed in the state of CT. I began my journey in the world of ABA when I finished my junior year of college at the University of Connecticut. I was able to intern at a private school for individuals with autism. There I learned from wonderful mentors and discovered my passion for ABA. Upon graduating with a Psychology degree, I returned to the same organization as an instructional assistant. My world would be forever changed not only through my growth in the organization to an Assistant Director but through relationships I was able to form with my students and their families. Throughout my tenure, I have been able to gain experience and knowledge working with a wide range of individuals with various developmental disabilities. I have focused my career on collaboratively working with not only Special Educators, other service providers, and most importantly my clients and their parents/caregivers.

My approach to therapy

My approach is provide you with consultation that takes your thoughts/ opinions first. I believe in taking small steps to get where we need to go. I am well versed in variety of assessments, teaching methodologies, and have spent a great deal of my career on working towards generalization of skills across multiple settings and people. Being a parent myself, I understand the challenges and rewards that come with the job. It can especially get harder when there are circumstances occurring that are beyond one’s control. Through collaboration, I have seen the effects on generalization of new skills, improved communication, and most importantly, improved quality of life for my clients and their families. I hope to provide clients with an approach that blends the science of behavior analysis with a family first mentality.

What to expect

Professionalism, patience, and understanding are the definite components you can expect from myself and the practice. With over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings and across varying levels of the spectrum; Arrow Behavioral Associates is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities or educational needs. Whether consult is about behavior change, acquisition of new skills, or generalization, there is an understanding that the process may take time. Many processes that involve consult will take time to see positive change.
