Davina has a diverse background in education and behaviour science, influenced by her early experiences and family support. With a Master’s degree in Special Education-ABA pathway at University in Washington, Davina became a board certified behavior analyst in 2016. Davina has provided ABA services for wide age range of clients in multiple settings . As a senior BCBA and an immigrant herself, she faced challenges related to cultural biases and professional obstacles but overcame them through dedication and commitment to her clients. As one of the founders and board members of a nonprofit organization, Chinese Autism Resources and Empowerment Service (CARES), Davina is dedicated to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive support for the Chinese-speaking community. Outside of work, Davina enjoys spending time with her daughter and dog, doing pilates and yoga, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and baking and cooking for family and friends. These activities enrich her personal well-being and enhance her professional empathy and dedication.
Davina's service is rooted in a deep understanding of behavior analysis honed through years of experience and education. Her range of skills includes behavior assessments and analysis (i.e., practical functional assessment, FAST, etc.), intervention designs based on evidence-based skill assessments and curriculums (i.e., SBT, AFLS, VB-MAPP, ABLLS, ACT, etc.), systematic data collection and data-driven decisions, and ongoing parent and staff training. With extended years of experience working in an IEP team in a school setting and managing intensive behaviors, Davina has the expertise in providing culturally sensitive treatment, a collaborative approach across multi-functional teams, trauma-informed care, and a holistic perspective in helping clients and their families achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Consistent monitoring and adaptation of plans, combined with open communication, guarantee that interventions remain effective and relevant. My holistic approach considers emotional, social, and environmental factors, while prioritizing positive reinforcement to create a motivating atmosphere. With extensive experience and expertise, I provide professional guidance, culturally sensitive treatment, trauma-informed care, and ongoing caregiver training and staff supervision.
