Carissa has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2012. She began her career as a 1:1 therapist before getting her Master of Science in Special Education with a focus in Autism in 2017. Carissa went on to get her Behavior Analyst Certification in 2021 and since then has committed herself to shifting the practice of ABA into a compassionate care model. Carissa has experience in home, school, and residential settings and uses her experience to disseminate assent-based ABA models to colleagues and supervisees. Her passion for providing quality ABA focused on the individuals she serves led her to open Arc Light Behavioral Health Collective where providers can use compassionate values to guide their practice in collaboration with families and those we serve.
